HOSTING A WORKSHOP
The host site meets the costs of venue hire (if part of the meeting is held away from site), afternoon tea, morning tea and lunch, and coach hire for the site tour.
The site representative organises these, sets the programme, lines up presenters and provides a list of accommodation options. The CQMRG co-ordinator will assist, and often has a list of members who have offered to present.
Other personnel from the host site are most welcome to attend.
Benefits to site personnel from hosting a Workshop:
- Informal peer review of achievements and plans, often with helpful suggestions
- Canvas Information on issues of particular interest.
- Develop relationships with government representatives in an un-pressured atmosphere
- Extend industry contacts.
- Expose other mine personnel to environmental issues
- Contribute to industry expertise and practice
